Its the jam between China cat and Rider on 74-6-26. I have it labeled as Mind Left Body Jam but I havent any other MLBs that sound like this one. Is this in fact a MLB jam or something else? Would appreciate anyones help.

Wasn't that jam featured on that old game show Name that Tune at one time or another?

Mud Love Buddy jam is really another name for the Mind Left Body jam. This jam between China and Rider is the "feelin' groovy" jam that colored essentially all of the China > Riders from '73 and '74. It originated in Dark Stars in 1969 and 1970 and gradually made its way into the China > Rider transition.

There's a killer post by lightintoashes about the early era jam themes which covers the history of this and other jams (tighten' up also, and that's my favorite of these).

Best Feelin' Groovy jam ever occurred on 2/13/70. It's gentle and exquisite.

It think that on DP12 it's labeled as "Mud Love Buddy" which is where the MLB confusion maybe comes from. The jam that starts in at around 11:30 or so on the AUD copy is definitely a Feelin' Groovy jam; however ,the jam from 9:25-11:30 is fairly unique and a bit spacier than your average China Cat transition (even for '74). Maybe this is the "Mud Love Buddy" jam.
It's interesting to listen to, you can hear twice towards the beginning of the jam where Bobby and Keith play the opening chord to the Feeling Groovy jam and Jerry just plays right past them and takes it into a slightly spacier place for a little while.
